Health Testing is our Top Priority

Just like in humans, genetic testing can help identify certain predispositions and risks, but it's not exhaustive. There are indeed lots other health issues that may not be directly detectable through genetic testing alone. That's why ongoing health monitoring, regular veterinary check-ups, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are crucial for ensuring the overall well-being of our Corgis.

As responsible breeders, we at GswCorgis, feel it is important to stay informed about potential health concerns within the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breeds, even those that may not be directly testable. By staying informed, vigilant and working closely with veterinarians, breed clubs, and other professionals, We can continue to prioritize the health of our dogs and provide valuable support and guidance to the families who welcome them into their homes. We know DNA Health testing is a great tool and it is an important aspect of responsible breeding and pet ownership.

Our Main Goal from the beginning of starting this journey has been to produce show quality, health tested 100% Clear/Free of (DM) Degenerative & (vWD1) Von Willebrand's disease Puppies & Dogs for Families & Everyday Corgi enthusiasts like ourselves. We feel we have accomplished this with our tested Dogs and we are proud to look back and see that we are indeed slowly improving the health of the Pembroke Welsh Corgis breed one clear dog at a time!
